Selling Vitamins
"It's easier to sell Advil than vitamins."
This is a common line in sales. The idea is that people are more interested in making pain go away than contributing to a healthy lifestyle.
The strategy shows up in black-and-white infomercials where the old product (vacuum, dish soap, cooking pan, etc.) made you mad, turned your kids into maniacs, and ruined your marriage. Cut to the new product where everything is colorful and vibrant. Your hair and makeup are perfect. The kids are patient and smiling, and magically you've got the flame in your love life back. It wasn't just a better product. It changed your life.
It's a compelling visual. And it works.
It's no wonder lottery sales have exploded in recent years. Talk about a surefire way to stop the "pain" of undesirable financial circumstances. It would certainly be a lot easier than living within your means or chipping away at unwanted debt.
Unfortunately, when you pursue "healthy," it never happens overnight. This is true for our bodies, our mental health, and our finances. It is about living a lifestyle where we make the right decision more often than we don't.
This may make me a poor salesman, but l help people figure out what the right combination of "vitamins" you need is, and then I help you stick with it.
